Author: Brett Postelli, is a certified environmental manager (CEM) with over 35 years experience in public safety and government contracting. Brett began his career in public service in 1989 as a state of Michigan certified firefighter, medical first responder, rescue diver, and sworn police officer. After ten years of service, Brett left the public sector and has worked for over 25 years as a local, state, and federal government contractor responding to environmental emergencies and over 200 natural/manmade FEMA/USACE disaster missions throughout the United States. 

Brett holds national and international certifications in special security, firefighting, emergency medical response, hazardous materials, explosive ordnance disposal (IMAS-EOD), CBRNE-WMD field chemist, technical rescue, anti-terrorism, FCC communications electronics, and multiple other related certifications Brett has published the, (Hazwoper Handbook – 8-40 Hr.
