Brett began his career in public service in 1989 as a state of Michigan certified firefighter, medical first responder, rescue diver, and sworn police officer. After ten years of service, Brett left the public sector and has worked for over 25 years as a local, state, and federal government contractor responding to environmental emergencies and over 200 natural/manmade FEMA/USACE disaster missions throughout the United States.
